Effective August 21, 2026.
The short version
These terms cover your use of websiterelief.com and the general shape of working with us. The specifics of any project — scope, price, schedule, what is included — live in the written proposal we send you. Where a proposal and this page disagree, the proposal wins.
Using this website
You are welcome to read, quote and link to anything here. You may not copy the site wholesale, scrape it for training or resale, or use it to send unsolicited mail. The text, layout, images and code on this site belong to WebSite Relief unless credited otherwise.
Enquiries are not contracts
Sending the contact form starts a conversation. It does not book work, reserve a schedule slot, or bind either of us. A project begins when we have both agreed to a written proposal.
Proposals, scope and changes
Every proposal states what is included, what it costs, and roughly when it happens. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts — you will not receive a surprise invoice for something you did not approve.
Websites are collaborative. If the direction changes mid-project, we will tell you what it does to the schedule and the price before doing the work, not after.
What we need from you
- Content, images and access credentials in a reasonable timeframe.
- The right to use whatever you hand us — text, photos, logos, fonts. If you do not own it, tell us and we will find something you can use.
- A named person who can give feedback and approve work.
- Accurate information about what your business does and claims.
Projects stall for exactly one reason more often than any other: waiting on content. We will chase politely, then pause the schedule.
Payment
Fees, deposits and instalments are set out in your proposal. Invoices are due on the terms printed on them. If an invoice goes materially past due we may pause work and, for hosting or management plans, suspend the service after notice. We would much rather talk it through first — if timing is tight, say so.
Who owns what
On full payment, the finished deliverables we made specifically for you — your design, your page content, your custom code — are yours. We keep ownership of the tools, frameworks, libraries and internal components we reuse across clients, and you get an unrestricted licence to keep using them as part of your site. Third-party components (themes, plugins, fonts, stock imagery) stay under their own licences.
Unless you ask us not to, we may show the finished work in our portfolio and describe what we did.
Hosting, backups and maintenance
We aim to keep hosted sites online, patched and backed up, and we monitor them. We do not promise uninterrupted service — no honest host does. Backups are taken on a schedule and restores are made on a best-effort basis; keeping your own copy of anything irreplaceable is always wise. You remain responsible for what is published on your site being lawful and accurate.
Search rankings
Search engine work improves the odds. It does not buy positions. Nobody controls Google’s results, and anyone who guarantees a ranking is selling something they cannot deliver. We will tell you what we changed, why, and what we expect it to do — and we will tell you when something is outside our control.
Third-party services
Sites we build often connect to services we do not run: payment processors, mail providers, booking tools, analytics. Their outages, price changes and policy changes are theirs, not ours, though we will help you work around them.
Warranties and liability
We do our work carefully and fix our mistakes. Beyond that, the site and our services are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising out of the work is limited to the fees you paid us for that work in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages.
Ending the relationship
Either of us can end an ongoing plan with reasonable notice. For fixed-scope projects, you pay for the work completed to that point and we hand over what has been produced. If you leave a hosting or management plan, we will help you move — your site is not held hostage.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current version.
